When I was told that there was an internship available at a charity in Golders Green called Tzedek, I did not expect that it would have such a profound impact on my life. Tzedek provides grants for projects in developing countries including Ghana and India, which teach vulnerable individuals skills in order to be able to make a life for themselves and sustainably leave the poverty cycle.

During my time at Tzedek I worked within the Education Team analysing questionnaires, forming reports and writing lesson plans for work experience programmes. I also worked in the Overseas Project Team (OPT), writing up success stories from beneficiaries, and posting them on social media in order to share the amazing work that Tzedek does around the world.

Interning at Tzedek was a very rewarding and enjoyable experience. I am about to begin a masters in International Development and this internship has confirmed that in the future I would love to work for an International Development charity in order to ‘help people to help themselves’. One reason for this is because I have learnt that even a small charity, like Tzedek can have such a huge impact worldwide.

If you want to do an internship that will inspire you, increase your knowledge about sustainable international development and allow you to make a difference globally, I highly recommend Tzedek.
