What is Schlep to Work?

Schlep to Work challenges you to walk to work for a day, a week, or even a month! Ditch the Oyster and help children in Ghana access a good education.

By Schlepping to Work, you will walk in solidarity with children like Hamdia, who have to walk to school for miles every day, just to get an education. All funds raised will go directly to Ghana, enabling young people to stay in school, achieve meaningful learning outcomes and gain the skills and confidence they need for productive and secure employment.

Unfortunately, even once they have walked for miles to school, thousands of children are held back by poor education. All funds raised in this campaign will go to support education projects in Ghana including our ‘School for Life’ project.

Meet Hamdia

Hi! I am Hamdia. I am 10 years old and I go to school at Tzedek’s partner school in Kumbungu, Northern Ghana. I have to walk to school because my parents can’t afford to pay for any other form of transport. I love going to school and when I grow up I would like to be a nurse.

Walk in solidarity with me!
