In the June half-term, Annabel Rose and Danielle McCarroll – 2 teachers from Sinai School – travelled to Tamale, Northern Ghana, for a whirlwind visit.
Sinai are part of Tzedek’s Twinning Programme which partners UK Jewish primary schools with primary schools in Ghana. While in Tamale, Annabel and Danielle met their Ghanaian partner teachers, Zambaga and Smiler, observed lessons at their partner school – Kanvilli Presbyterian School, visited a Tzedek funded project and taught lessons to their partner class.
Annabel, Head of Geography at Sinai School, remarked that “Sinai and the partnership have benefited enormously from our visit, learning about somewhere is always more interactive, memorable and impactful if you can have resources and even teachers from that place to enrich the experience.” Sinai will be welcoming their Ghanaian partner teacher to their school in the coming months.
