A congratulations is in order as Nik Kafka, our very own trustee, has been announced as the winner of The Charles Bronfman Prize 2022!
At Tzedek we are always proud to have Nik Kafka on our Board of Trustees, but this time it’s exceptional. The $100,000 Charles Bronfman Prize is awarded annually to outstanding humanitarians under 50 whose work is grounded in Jewish values and has a global impact. It is the recipient of the award who personally chooses how to spend the prize money. The award celebrates Nik’s ongoing commitment to serving others and to humanity.
Since 2017, Nik has been supporting Tzedek create long-term sustainable solutions to extreme poverty for young people and women around the world. Tzedek has been building skills in young people and women in Ghana, India, the UK and beyond. Nik’s knowledge and experience have been invaluable to us.
Back in 2006, before he joined the Tzedek team, Nik founded Teach a Man to Fish, equipping young people with entrepreneurship skills in Asia, Africa and the Americas so they can reach their full potential in life.
We’re very proud to have Nik as part of the Tzedek team and we wish him Mazel Tov on this happy occasion.
