Over the spring or summer break, Tzedek invites undergraduate students who are passionate about international development and looking for hands-on professional experience to apply for our Learn & Work Internship Programme.

Our Learn & Work Internship Programme starts with a week-long intensive, covering the principles of ethical development practice and Jewish social responsibility, combined with practical work and building the foundations for the rest of your internship with us.

Throughout the course of the programme you will:

  • contribute to, and benefit from, a virtual cohort experience of like-minded students
  • build a personal professional development plan, with support from our team
  • have weekly check-ins with Tzedek staff
  • receive individual mentorship, based on your individual skills, interests and needs
  • work on a variety of projects, through which you will develop crucial skills and build your portfolio.

Beyond the set programme dates (compulsory for the whole cohort), we are open to extending your internship on an individualised basis, dependant on our mutual needs and availability.

5-8th July 2021, to take place online.

Email your CV and Cover Letter to Leanne@tzedek.org.uk to apply.

“I really enjoyed my internship with Tzedek! The week was filled with lots of information and practical tasks which enriched my knowledge of Tzedek’s work and the International Development sector in general. I would definitely recommend this programme to anyone with an interest in development and/or working for a charity in the future.” – Anonymous, 2021

“I had a great experience with the Tzedek internship programme. It educated me on the principles of sustainable development and demonstrated how they are put to use. I loved collaborating with my peers, and the help of a supportive team, on meaningful projects, and I felt heard every step of the way!” – Ethel, 2021

“In the past year, I have developed a stronger Jewish identity, and with it a deeper commitment to making a positive impact on the world and the people in it. The Tzedek internship program came along at the perfect time, allowing me to apply my beliefs to relevant global issues and providing insight into a career path that coincides with tzedakah [charity].” – Anonymous, 2021
