Welcome to Open Book – Tzedek’s brand new book club – where we will be exploring books from a diverse selection of fantastic writers and touching on universal themes of identity, equality and social justice.
Meeting online or in person every two months, join us to discuss new books and old favourites, and to vote on the next book we’ll be opening together.
Become an Open Book regular or join us for one-off discussions at your leisure!
Open to readers or audiobook listeners of all ages and backgrounds.
Our first meeting will take place over zoom at 7 PM on Tuesday, 13th October. Sign up below to receive a zoom link.
We’ll be kicking off with Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, a beautiful story about family, history, racism and love, following the descendants of two Ghanaian half-sisters whose lives take very different paths.
If you don’t already own it, please consider getting your copy of Homegoing here to support Book & Kulture, a new online platform shining a spotlight on underrepresented authors and crafters from the African diaspora.
